Birch wood charcoal fines CarboClean-ODU (TU 20.59.54-007-38903868-2022) are made from environmentally friendly raw material - birch wood - and are intended for use as charcoal for samovars, as an additive to soil when growing indoor plants (orchids), or as non-activated biochar. Biochar is wood charcoal produced by the pyrolysis of biomass in the absence of oxygen, used as a soil conditioner. The product is characterized by a high carbon content of 93–99% and is free of harmful or toxic impurities. Large fraction ranges from 5 mm to 25 mm.
Advantages of using CarboClean-ODU when growing orchids:
- Root aeration. CarboClean-ODU is an eco-friendly product. This birch charcoal has a porous structure that provides excellent root aeration, contributing to their healthy growth and development.
- Drainage. CarboClean-ODU also improves soil drainage, preventing overwatering and root rot.
- Adsorption of pollutants. CarboClean-ODU birch charcoal possesses special adsorbing properties. These properties help remove pollutants such as salts, toxins, and excess nutrients from the soil, retain moisture without harming the plant, and without removing beneficial substances.
- Protection against bacteria and fungi. CarboClean-ODU has antimicrobial properties that protect orchid roots from bacterial and fungal infections.
- Soil pH regulation. CarboClean-ODU buffers soil pH, maintaining it at an optimal level for orchid growth.
CarboClean-ODU is transported by all types of vehicles except air, in covered transport vehicles according to the cargo transportation rules applicable to that type of transport. It is stored in the manufacturer's packaging in clean and closed warehouses, protected from groundwater and atmospheric precipitation. Transportation and storage of wood charcoal together with products that emit vapors or gases into the atmosphere is not allowed.
