The Perm Sorbents Plant "UralKhimSorb" offers laboratory services.
We conduct FREE incoming quality control of activated crushed wood charcoal to ensure compliance with GOST 6217-74 (BAU-A, BAU-MF, DAK).
Why is it free? The Russian market for activated carbons offers a vast array of products from third-party manufacturers labeled as BAU-A, BAU-MF, and DAK, referencing GOST but offered at significantly reduced prices (2-3 times cheaper). Typically, such products do not meet GOST requirements; they may be reprocessed (used) dried products (containing phenols) or simply wood coal fines (regular non-activated charcoal). Consumers purchasing such filtering materials often do not achieve the desired results. The absence of proper incoming quality checks allows unscrupulous suppliers to profit and poses risks of damage to equipment, the environment, and reputation. To avoid these issues, we recommend conducting preliminary incoming quality control using a simple method (described on our website) or sending us a sample for laboratory testing on activity, fractional composition, and ash content. If the sample shows significant deviations (for example, activity instead of the declared 60% does not exceed 10%), we recommend contacting other state authorities. Requests for free analysis can be sent to the email address: market@uralhimsorb.ru
For any other laboratory tests, requests can be submitted via email: uralhimsorb@uralhimsorb.ru
