Industrial preparation: how activated carbon helps to purify water to the standards of MPC
Industrial water treatment is a complex and multi-stage process, where each stage plays a role. And the key element of the final purity of water becomes activated carbon.
1 stage - primary purification from mechanical impurities
Sand or multi-level filters are used - they prepare water for more subtle stages of processing.
2 stage - clarification
At this stage, coagulation occurs, and large molecules and colloidal particles are precipitated.
Additionally, powdered activated carbon is used to remove residual organic compounds and make the water transparent.
3rd stage - biological treatment
Organic impurities are removed using activated sludge.
4th stage - adsorption (pre-treatment)
The final stage is filtration through activated carbon.
Here, the water passes through a sorbent layer that absorbs residual impurities and improves the taste, smell, and color of the water.
Thanks to these solutions, water becomes truly clean, safe, and ready for further use in technological processes.
